Quality culture

The Quality Management System has been ISO 9002 certified by the Italian Institute of Plastics in January 1997. The certification was not naturally a point of arrival, but a step forward in the direction of a continuous quality improvement of its business processes.

In fact, the culture of quality has always been firmly part of the genetic heritage of this company, with all its members, already even before the certification was acquired.
Each process that characterizes the business functions must respond to the logic of Quality.

Quality culture has also been taken beyond the company, establishing a close relationship with its partners and suppliers. In fact, the quality must embrace the whole life of the product, from design to manufacturing, from the supplier to the final customer.

Product Quality Assurance

The guarantee of the quality of the products supplied by COMAT is ensured not only by the quality management system of the supplier companies, but above all by careful surveillance actions on them is done directly by the internal Quality Management System.

Meetings are held periodically to refine complementary quality strategies with suppliers. Also careful quality control of the products is carried out to check their compliance with drawing specifications. These checks are carried out by the Quality Control through the use of measuring instruments subject to periodic calibration checks traceable to certified measuring samples by SIT (Italian Calibration Service).

Finally, careful analysis of suppliers allows to assign to each of them an evaluation index, determined by a number of parameters, which is periodically updated.
